Words are Gifts

Where I Am

A wild breeze zooming around my ears

A whir circling beside me

Humming lightly to remind me it’s there

Blinds blocking the pitch dark

A leaf from my notebook slapping against my laptop

Sometimes slapping against another

The top of my desk strewn with all sorts of stationery

My Bible beckoning

Books many books some read others in the queue

The list of birthdays open as a reminder to send messages

September fills a large space on the floor, almost over, most of it’s boxes filled in

October lies gently underneath September with it’s side peeking

Most of it’s boxes already full

Oh and that light, that lights .up the unkempt desk to brighten my evening.

Writing is my passion and I try to write daily, at least in my sentence a day journal, to capture all the blessings around me.
