What Writers Do

Writing is an art.

I have been thinking about this a lot recently. Especially this month when I have been writing daily. Crafting pieces and thinking about my topics and readers. It just dawned on me, as I began recognizing writing as an art.

Mainly because as we develop and create pieces, we continue to work on them till we are satisfied with what it becomes. Just like an artist, I may have a theme or an idea I am trying to share and carve it out to have a particular effect.

I feel I am writing the obvious, but this was an awakening in me at some point this week and felt I should put it on paper.

    I often feel I am writing the obvious, but some very famous people (Brene Brown is one) write about the obvious, don’t you think? We are artists, crafting words every day. Thanks for joining this monthlong journey. It’s getting to the hard part, the home stretch.

    I have never thought of this before, but you are right in that it is a craft that is never quite finished until we share. Good point

    I love the quote! I think slicing forces us to put our thoughts and reflections down on paper, so I like that you wrote about this today, even if you think it’s “obvious.”

    I absolutely LOVE this. And perhaps it’s been said before but you say it here so well. I’m constantly thinking of myself as uncreative but this is a breath of fresh air to know that the writing I’m putting out to the world is a creative act. Keep writing friend. 🙂

Writing is my passion and I try to write daily, at least in my sentence a day journal, to capture all the blessings around me.
