The two other bedrooms had been redundant since I moved in, in August last year. Neither had I tested the shower in one and the bath in the other. I knew my Spring break was welcoming a few members of my family and the two bedrooms would be occupied.
I moved here with no extra beddings or furniture. As my home is still my home, perhaps now my holiday home for now. During my trip in January, I had on my list to buy some matching beddings , all the three rooms had to look the part. I managed to source a beautiful print which came in different color ways. I spent time matching each one with it’s plain cotton mix colored bedsheet.
All the three bedrooms in flat 6, were beautifully kitted before the arrival of my guests. I felt proud, house proud. Generally flat 6 has had a makeover and I feel really elated about the look.
It took time to find the Turkish carpet here. I made do with the smaller size. J advised me not to replace the sofa. “It can be covered perfectly,” she suggested. In less than two weeks Ms. T had it beautifully reupholstered in a popping color which complemented my large, indoor greens. It all felt really homey now.

My guests commended me for the warm home I have created. That made me happy as I am still figuring out my new space.
