Words are Gifts

Thirty One Days of Writing

Grains of sand can create a huge mountain
Rain drops can fill a mighty ocean
An army of ants can build a huge anthill
Teams can work together and conquer all
Everyday in March, I have created and
Fanned the fire, to release a flame
Used every ounce of my script and ideas
Lifted words from nowhere and been present.

Thank you TWT for this space and the opportunity to write and publish. Thank you to all the writers and readers for the comments. I learn from you all and know that I grow as a writer every year, because I am here.

Until next year, see you on as many Tuesdays as I can show up.

  1. Perfect word for your acrostic poem, and a wonderful sign-off for March! I love all the rich imagery here but I especially love your last line and last word.

  2. Perfect acrostic to reflect on our month of writing!

About Me

I am an Elementary school teacher , I taught at an International IB School in Accra, Ghana. I am now teaching in Hanoi. Writing is my passion and I try to write daily, at least in my sentence a day journal, to capture all the blessings around me. I write with groups of writers, such as Teach Write and sometimes Ethical ELA. I also encourage my friends to write , so I created a platform to make that possible -Writing Run.
