Words are Gifts

They’re Back

Long drive

Long flights

Suitcases galore

Pairs of shoes

Tell us who

Has arrived

Busy cutlery

Different aromas

Announcing choices

Trickling taps scream,

‘They’re back!’

Laughter surrounds

Music boom

Conversations cheer

So many memories shared

Devices everywhere

Screens large and small

EarPods or headphones

Busy sofas

Christmas tree watches

As the lights twinkle

Plans set for the week

Smiles moving around

More of those …

Our full house ready for the celebration

Huge contrast from a week ago

When it was just us.

About Me

I am an Elementary school teacher , I taught at an International IB School in Accra, Ghana. I am now teaching in Hanoi. Writing is my passion and I try to write daily, at least in my sentence a day journal, to capture all the blessings around me. I write with groups of writers, such as Teach Write and sometimes Ethical ELA. I also encourage my friends to write , so I created a platform to make that possible -Writing Run.
