One Question

The question that was posed during our team meeting yesterday resonated deeply with me.

It prompted me to share thoughts and feelings.

I realized the impact a question can have on uncovering silenced feelings.

Through my response, I acknowledged what was intended but remained unexpressed, and reflected on how addressing it earlier could have made a difference.

I hope to apply the insights gained from this experience to address similar concerns in the future.

Interestingly, the responses from the other team members had a common theme unrelated to our work environment. This unexpected connection made us feel more connected.

This singular question had the power to create a greater understanding among us.

The question was; What is stretching you at the moment?

  1. It’s hard to give the honest, true answer that sometimes no one wants to here. Here’s to you for being brave and helping your team connect. When we feel stretched, it is crucial to know we aren’t alone in feeling that way. The structure of your slice left me so eager to know what the question was! I’m so glad you did include it at the end!

  3. The mystery of this writing contains its personal power for the reader. I kept wondering what the response was, what was silenced until that moment. And when you reveal the question at the end, it draws the reader in to answer it for themselves. Thank you for this insightful post and I’m going to work on the answer to that question.

I love how you wove intrigue into this slice until the very end. And what a question! This would be a great notebook entry!

  6. As other said, I was intrigued, wondering what the question was until you revealed it. It got me thinking. What is stretching you could be negative or positive, or maybe even both at once.

  7. Thank you for revealing the question at the end. I was drawn in by every line, but your 4th paragraph really hit home. It is hard to express ourselves early on in a situation. And now, I will go think about your question.

  11. the verb stretching is so visual, and suggests that stretching can be like yoga, and it can also be like one of those Gumby dolls holding hands with two five-year olds fighting over who gets the cool new toy.
