Another Ride Accomplished

I have truly enjoyed this ride. It really makes me feel I have grown as a writer or I’ve become a little more confident.

At first I would have been careful in, my choice of topics and was never sure how my readers would receive my choices. This year, I have just sat and written whatever came to me.

I managed to write everyday, sometimes very short pieces, but I wrote. I also commented on three or more slices, daily. The more slices I read, the more certain I felt about my own delivery.

I have to thank all the organizers, leaders and readers. The SOLSC has been my teacher in many ways for many years. Or should I say PD? I end up every year being so resourced that it takes me through the year.

Thank you all for this community. I will continue to invite my teacher colleagues far and wide to write with us.

Until next year, I will be here on Tuesdays, most Tuesdays.

  5. I cannot agree with you more, Juliette, about this being PD that revives and fuels us through the rest of the year. This resonates, “I managed to write everyday, sometimes very short pieces, but I wrote. I also commented on three or more slices, daily. The more slices I read, the more certain I felt about my own delivery.” Cheers until the next slice!

  6. Yeah, Juliette. Looking forward to seeing you on Tuesdays. (most Tuesdays 🙂 ) I like how you just went for it and wrote what you wanted to write this year! That sounds like just the right approach, and it definitely seems like it built your confidence.

  7. Your reflections are so spot on; yes, SOLSC is PD, teachers teaching teachers, I think – the best kind of PD. It has been wonderful to write alongside you this month; I always enjoyed your writing. I hope you will write on Tuesdays, and we can continue to share stories. Congrats on 31 days of writing!

About Me

I am an Elementary school teacher , I taught at an International IB School in Accra, Ghana. I am now teaching in Hanoi. Writing is my passion and I try to write daily, at least in my sentence a day journal, to capture all the blessings around me. I write with groups of writers, such as Teach Write and sometimes Ethical ELA. I also encourage my friends to write , so I created a platform to make that possible -Writing Run.
