Words are Gifts

Maturity

Can be seen in your eyes the deep thoughts when you squint stuck in-between your brows

When your life voice is different surprising you of the different renunciations in the past would have been totally different
Feeling it in your bones that some things matter and others do not making the important ones important

Life showing you what matters and what doesn't Maturity gives you lenses that make the subtle clearer

  5. Juliette, I appreciate this Maturity poem. It seems one of the truest lines for me is: “some things matter and others do not” a great sign of maturity. I’m taking it with me today.

  6. Such a great poem. You have expressed so many deep thoughts in such a simple fashion. I would say your last two lines sum it all up (from someone who is definitely very mature in years!)
