Fascinators
A prompt from Teach Write for March. It is fashionable to wear fascinators to weddings, funerals and planned gatherings that call for fascinators as part of the outfit. We select the best one, colour, height that matches our outfit or physique. At weddings, (where I live) in particular, when the sun goes down, I see Continue reading

Comment Turned Slice
“The communal experience is truly enriching. The different perspectives sometimes grown from the variety of experiences makes for a kaleidoscope of beauty. Yes rich in our diversity, I agree.“ I wrote the above comment to the slice written by DMorris yesterday. After reading the comment I had written, I said to myself, “This could make Continue reading

Ring…ring….
The phone call came at an opportune time. I had planned to leave the event early, and was contemplating on my exit plan. How would I announce my early departure? Nobody would understand how I only attended the event for just an hour. Everybody had joined the buffet, but since I had eaten lunch before Continue reading

I realized the impact a question can have on uncovering silenced feelings. Through my response, I acknowledged what was intended but remained unexpressed, and reflected on how addressing it earlier could have made Continue reading

Shares a gruesome part of history Continue reading

At the Slicer Party
Thank you Leigh Anne for the invitation to the slicer party. For the word buffet, I will contribute: Ethereal; extremely delicate and light in a way that seems not to be of this world: Ethereal was used by Denise Krebs in a comment to my post last week. I honestly was not sure what it meant. It sent me to the dictionary and the thesaurus Continue reading
About Me
I am an Elementary school teacher , I taught at an International IB School in Accra, Ghana. I am now teaching in Hanoi. Writing is my passion and I try to write daily, at least in my sentence a day journal, to capture all the blessings around me. I write with groups of writers, such as Teach Write and sometimes Ethical ELA. I also encourage my friends to write , so I created a platform to make that possible -Writing Run.
