Busy-ness and Gratitude

Do you sometimes have the feeling of gratitude that makes your soul smile? I’ve been feeling that way lately and I can’t share any particular aspect of my being that has made me feel this way.

There’s so much happening around me, leaving a little bit of time for writing. Or is it because I have committed to many things and do not seem to have enough hours in the day?

In my heart of hearts, I wish I had hours and hours to commit to writing but that is not the case. My calendar is full and really bursting at the seams as I have filled my life up with so many small projects.

I continue to explore and learn at my new location. I’m learning about the different nationalities and their culture. This weekend, my colleague and I learned to make Korean rice cakes (Songpyeong mooncakes) and the story about the mooncakes. We had a Korean lunch after that and sampled our steamed cakes for dessert. A pleasant experience.

Filling up my days, is making the months fly by! I can’t believe October is here. Now the countdown to my Christmas travels begins. I guess that is another gratitude topic. There is so much to go round and I thank God for the blessings.

  1. You have such a beautiful attitude! I imagine this colors all your adventures. I know you will appreciate the Tuesday writing that you ARE doing, as it helps you remember this time, moon cakes and all. The photo is gorgeous!

About Me

I am an Elementary school teacher , I taught at an International IB School in Accra, Ghana. I am now teaching in Hanoi. Writing is my passion and I try to write daily, at least in my sentence a day journal, to capture all the blessings around me. I write with groups of writers, such as Teach Write and sometimes Ethical ELA. I also encourage my friends to write , so I created a platform to make that possible -Writing Run.
