Two Puppies

The two young ones came with their dad to choose a puppy and ended up selecting two.

My German Shepherd had three puppies about three weeks ago. I bought Bailey as a puppy from a friend a couple of years ago, as I felt Rona, a mixed breed was lonely.

They become very good friends and recently found out that Bailey and Rona were having puppies. I was sure of that as my two dogs do not meet any others. All their walks are around the house and the compound.

Bailey came from a very happy home, so I’m glad she found her family here. Unfortunately, we do not have space for her three puppies so we have to let two of them go. I’m glad we are going to be able to keep one of her puppies with her.

Sunday evening, the two puppies were held, cuddled and seemed very comfortable with their new family. We will take care of them for a few more weeks till they are vaccinated before they get to leave their parents. I even suggested organizing a reunion for them all later on tin the year.

  1. Love that they’re taking two and you’re keeping one! Everyone gets to stay with a family member!

  2. I remember when our dog, Molly, had puppies when I was a child and it broke my heart that they all were given away. Enjoy the days with the whole family together! It is lovely that the two will go to the same home.

  3. I give you so much credit for recognizing that the other two needed a family that could give them what they need. I feel like I would have a difficult time giving them up because I’m a sucker for dogs! A reunion sounds like a lovely idea 🙂
