I wonder why these friendships seem like a dream a welcome dream that stretches far beyond the sleep The inner joy they emanate just like ripples in the sea they reach out further into the horizon Time- long gone But the ripples go beyond our imagination so soothing and enchanting These friendships, I’ve caught Are… Continue reading

Walk Cancelled
Dressed. Ready. Standing at the gate, waiting for the ride to the university campus, our walking track, in my luminous pink top and walking shorts. I had asked S to be at my gate for 4.40pm. I held my bag of chilled water and stood there waiting as cars drove past. A few droplets fell,… Continue reading

Like Rain
A waterfall Journeys to the ground Sheets of rain Descending Fresh downward trail This covering so cool and mellow A collection, strings of beads Drooping Until it shields and cools you down A natural partition it is. Photograph: Taken at my sister’s garden, today. Continue reading

This Holiday
This was a very low-key holiday, with everything so different all over the world. The decision was to stay local and have a restful time. Walls and Lawns
Excited about the sights and sounds around me, I embrace the landmarks, scenes, crowds and stories where I live. Most of the roads in my neighborhood are quite wide and surrounded by beautiful houses. The buildings on either side of the road have stunning walls and lawns. There must have been a trend many years… Continue reading

A Special Gift
The gift was a real surprise. “Open it Ms. Juliette,” V whispered excitedly. I did not want to guess what it was. As large as an A4 paper, hard to touch, in my mind I knew it was a book but never did I think V would select or suggest a notebook. Whenever we had… Continue reading
About Me
I am an Elementary school teacher , I taught at an International IB School in Accra, Ghana. I am now teaching in Hanoi. Writing is my passion and I try to write daily, at least in my sentence a day journal, to capture all the blessings around me. I write with groups of writers, such as Teach Write and sometimes Ethical ELA. I also encourage my friends to write , so I created a platform to make that possible -Writing Run.
